I like making new friends. I like meeting interesting people with interesting stories. And then I like to be there for the moments that are important to them so that I can give them a really cool snapshot of those special moments. I love Jesus. I love my husband and my kids. I love to sing. I wanted to be a singer when I "grew up," and was getting ready to move away to sing in the big city...and then God gave me my husband, and we decided to settle down near our family. So the singing career almost happened. Almost. I like to walk around in October listening to the leaves in the wind. I don't really like summer...it's too hot. Nor do I care for winter...it's too cold. If only it was perpetually autumn... I like finding old friends on Facebook. And spending time with my family. I'm a pretty good cook, if I do say so myself. I like visiting Kansas, especially 'cause that's where my grandparents and aunts and uncles and cousins are. I miss my brother and his woman and their little ones who live in North Carolina. I'm crazy pale and like my bright green glasses. I pastor a youth group with my husband, and we love it! I love reading books about life on the prairie in the 1800's. I know a lot of random trivia. My couches are red. I used to manage record stores. And then they became extinct. So I became a photographer instead.

Current obsessions:
-Google. Google Reader, Gmail, Google Calendar, you name it; if its Google, I like it.
-Pandora. My favorite stations are populated with songs by Jesus Culture, Regina Spektor, Glen Hansard & Marketa Irglova, Fiona Apple, Mindy Smith, and Ingrid Michaelson.
-My homemade Paninis.
-The Great Divorce by C.S. Lewis.
-Anything I can do on my iPad.
-My gorgeous family...Matthew, Lilly, Judah, & Zion.

Kate is awesome. Period.
